The point most often misunderstood on this subject is this: the subscription is tied not to a device but to a screen open at the same time. Which means that with the standard 13 AZN subscription you can install the app on a television, a phone, a tablet and a computer and log in on all of them. The limit only comes into play when two of those screens try to watch in the same minute.
Below we first explain that difference precisely, then give the rates and real family scenarios so you can work out which one you need.
The difference between taking turns and watching at the same time
Mixing those two phrases up changes the calculation completely, so we set it out with examples.
| Situation | Which this is | Plan needed |
|---|---|---|
| News on the phone in the morning, a film on the television in the evening | Taking turns | 1 device — 13 AZN |
| On the laptop at work, on the television at home | Taking turns | 1 device — 13 AZN |
| Football in the living room, cartoons in the child's room — at the same time | At the same time | 2 devices — 18 AZN |
| Father on the television, mother on the tablet, child on the phone — at the same time | At the same time | 3+ devices — 22 AZN |
| You at the summer house, your parents in the city — at the same time | At the same time | 2 devices — 18 AZN |
| A cafe, office or hotel — several screens | Many screens | Business calculation |
On a standard subscription, when a second screen opens the stream cuts out or an error message appears. That isn't a penalty — the system checks that each subscription provides one stream at a time. When you close the television and open the phone, nothing happens, because only one screen is running at that moment.
Rates by number of devices
The table below shows monthly prices. The same logic applies to the 6- and 12-month plans — on a longer plan the monthly cost comes down.
| Devices | Price per month | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| 1 device | 13 AZN | A single viewer |
| 2 devices | 18 AZN | A family — two screens |
| 3 devices+ | 22 AZN | Large family, office, café |
The striking part: two separate subscriptions would cost 26 AZN, while the 2-device rate is 18 AZN. For three screens the gap is bigger still — three separate subscriptions 39 AZN, the 3+ device rate 22 AZN. The full table of all the plans and terms: prices page.
Real family scenarios
The figures are clear in the table, but to decide you have to picture your own home. These are the four situations we meet most often.
Living alone or as a couple
One television, one phone — but the two don't run at the same time. The standard 1-device rate is enough: 13 AZN. There is no extra charge for closing it on the television and opening it on the phone.
A family with children
Sport or news in the living room, cartoons in the child's room — this is the classic two-screen situation. The 2-device rate is 18 AZN a month. Kids channels: kids section.
A large family, two generations in one home
Parents on a Turkish series, the young on football, the children on cartoons. If three screens run at the same time, the 3+ device rate — 22 AZN — is the most economical.
Two addresses
A city flat and a village house, or your own home and your parents'. The screens are at different addresses, but because they run at the same time the calculation is still treated as simultaneous use: the 2-device rate.
Check your internet before choosing the number of screens
A device plan settles the subscription side, but a second screen puts load on your internet as well. The requirement simply adds up: if two screens watch in Full HD, the speed needed doubles.
| Screens open at once | Quality | Approximate speed needed |
|---|---|---|
| 1 screen | Full HD | 12–15 Mbps |
| 2 screens | Full HD | 25–30 Mbps |
| 3 screens | Full HD | 35–45 Mbps |
| 1 screen | 4K Ultra HD | 25+ Mbps |
| 2 screens | 4K Ultra HD | 50+ Mbps |
- This speed is for IPTV alone. If there is gaming, a video call or a download running at home in parallel, you need spare bandwidth too.
- Connect the main screen (usually the living room television) with a LAN cable. That leaves the Wi-Fi for the other devices.
- If the router is old, three screens can overload it — there is freezing even when the speed is sufficient. In those cases changing the router is more useful than changing the subscription.
- If you are planning on 4K, we wrote the requirements out in detail on the 4K page.
The devices don't have to be alike
The word “device” in the plan doesn't mean devices of the same type. The second screen can be a television, a phone, a tablet, a computer or an Android box — anything. Mixed use is entirely normal:
- A Smart TV in the living room, an Android box in the bedroom.
- The television and an iPad — for the children.
- A Windows laptop and the television — work and rest.
- A MacBook and a phone — while travelling.
The plan counts the number of screens, not their brand. You can run two different apps on two different systems — the subscription is the same.
Changing the plan later
You don't have to get the decision exactly right now. Many users start with a standard subscription, see after a week or two that they need a second screen, and move to the plan then.
Start with a standard subscription
13 AZN for one screen. Watch the real situation at home for a week or two.
Pay attention to the cut-outs
If the stream cuts out when a second screen opens, that shows you genuinely need a second stream.
Write to WhatsApp
Tell us you want to change the plan. The difference for the remaining term is calculated; you aren't asked to pay from scratch.
Set up the new screen
We install the app on the second device with the same username and password. No new code and no new setup are needed.
Working out how many screens you need from a desk is hard. On the 24-hour free trial, see the real situation at home: who watches when, and whether two screens overlap. No card details are asked for — the terms are on the trial page.
For offices, cafes and hotels
If the number of screens goes beyond three and the use is commercial in character, the standard rates no longer fit. In those cases we make an individual calculation based on the number of screens, the layout and the opening hours — we set the terms out on the business page. The setup there is different too: in a multi-screen venue the network plan is drawn up in advance so that every screen runs steadily at the same time.
Write who watches when at home and we'll tell you which plan suits you. We don't try to sell a higher plan than you need.
Frequently asked questions
How many devices can I watch IPTV on with one subscription?
You can install the app on as many devices as you like — the limit is not on the number of devices but on the number of screens open at the same time.
A standard subscription gives one screen at a time: 13 AZN. There are monthly rates of 18 AZN for two screens and 22 AZN for three or more.
Do I need to pay extra to close it on the television and open it on the phone?
No. That is taking turns and it is included in the standard 13 AZN subscription. No new code and no new setup are needed either — the same username and password work.
An extra charge only comes up when two screens need to watch in the same minute.
What happens if I open the same code in two places?
On a standard subscription, when a second screen opens the stream cuts out or an error message appears. That isn't a penalty — the system checks that each subscription provides one stream at a time.
If those cut-outs keep happening, it is a sign that you really do need a second stream. Write to WhatsApp and we'll change the plan.
Is it better to buy two separate subscriptions or the 2-device rate?
The rate is better value. Two separate subscriptions would be 26 AZN a month, while the 2-device rate is 18 AZN — a difference of 8 AZN a month.
With three screens the gap is bigger: three separate subscriptions 39 AZN, the 3+ device rate 22 AZN. On top of that, managing one subscription is easier — one payment and one renewal date.
Can the screens be at different addresses?
Yes. A city flat and a village house, your own home and your parents' — there is no technical limitation.
The calculation is still made on the number of screens open at the same time: if both addresses are watching at once, you need the 2-device rate. If the number of screens goes beyond three and the use is commercial in character, business terms apply.
Is my internet enough for two screens?
If two screens watch in Full HD you need roughly 25–30 Mbps; with three screens that rises to 35–45 Mbps. If you are going to watch 4K, the requirement is higher.
That speed is for IPTV alone — if there is a download, a game or a video call running at home in parallel, you need spare bandwidth too. Connecting the main television with a LAN cable frees up the Wi-Fi for the other devices.
Can I change the plan in the middle of a subscription?
Yes. You write to WhatsApp and the difference for the remaining term is calculated — there is no need to buy a new subscription from scratch.
Many users do it this way: they start with a standard subscription, see the real situation at home and move to a second screen when they need it. We do the setup on the new screen and your existing code doesn't change.
