IPTV subscriptions in Baku — built for life in a flat

Most television complaints in Baku come down to two sentences: there is nowhere to put an aerial, and no cable has been run to the building. IPTV sets both aside — the stream arrives over the internet you already have.

For a subscriber in Baku the problem is usually not the channel list. The problem is that the flat itself does not suit the traditional solutions: the balcony has been glazed in, the building management will not allow anything on the façade, the block is new and the operator's line has not arrived yet. This page is written for exactly those situations.

The aerial question in a flat

A satellite dish needs a clear view of a particular part of the sky. In a high-rise that condition often fails: the window faces the building opposite, the balcony is glazed, or the flat simply points the wrong way. The installer comes, has a look, says «not here» — and the time is gone.

The second obstacle is not technical but administrative. In new residential complexes the look of the façade is protected and fitting a dish needs permission. For tenants there is one more person involved — the owner, whose consent is required. None of these conversations comes up with IPTV: no nail goes into the wall, nothing is fixed to the façade.

Cable in new buildings

Cable television works over a line run into the building. In newly built blocks that line is sometimes absent altogether and sometimes available from only one operator. In a flat just out of renovation the problem looks different — nobody wants to cut a new cable route into a finished wall.

  • If there is no line in the building, the cable operator cannot open a subscription either — there is nothing to do but wait.
  • If there is a line, the channel list is limited to that operator's package.
  • Because the subscription is tied to the address, moving house starts the process from scratch.
  • With IPTV the technical state of the building plays no part: if the internet works, the stream works.

Internet in Baku already carries television

Over recent years fibre and GPON connections have pushed the old copper lines out across most of the city. In practice that clears the way for IPTV: if Full HD needs 12–15 Mbps and 4K needs 25+ Mbps, modern home packages sit above those thresholds.

Even so, speed is not the only measure. Where the router sits in the flat, how thick the walls are and how crowded the Wi-Fi band is all affect the result seriously. In older buildings thick stone walls weaken the signal; in new complexes dozens of networks on the same floor interfere with each other.

Fine in one room, freezing in another

This is the classic Wi-Fi picture. The fix is not expensive: move the TV onto the 5 GHz network, keep the router within reach of the TV, or run a single Ethernet cable. A TV connected by cable closes every Wi-Fi question for good.

Setup is done remotely — no engineer calls

In Baku this is the part that saves the most time. No waiting for an installer, no agreeing a slot, no staying home for it. The whole process goes through WhatsApp.

  1. You message us on WhatsApp and tell us your device model.
  2. We say which app you need and show you how to install it from the store.
  3. We send your subscription code and you enter it in the app.
  4. The channel list loads. Up to this point it usually takes 5–10 minutes.

If anything is difficult on the device itself, a screenshot is enough — we go through the step with you. Detailed instructions by model: IPTV setup and steps for Smart TV.

Which parts of the city it works in

The service is entirely online: we have no district offices, no engineer goes to your address, and there is no coming and going for the setup. So the question is not really «do you cover this district?» but «is there a working internet connection at your address?». If the answer is yes, the subscription opens:

YasamalNasimiKhataiBinagadiSabunchuNizamiNarimanovKhazarSurakhaniSabailGaradaghPirallahi

The same logic holds outside the city centre — in the Absheron settlements and the villages around Baku. At addresses the traditional operators never reached, IPTV is often the only option available. For the picture across the country: IPTV in Azerbaijan.

Who it suits best in Baku

People renting

Nothing is fixed to the wall and no permission from the owner is needed. When you move, the subscription moves with you to the new address.

People in new buildings

There is no waiting for a cable line to be run to the block. The day the internet is connected, television is ready too.

Families with two TVs

If the living room and the bedroom will be on at the same time, a device tariff costs less than a second subscription.

Football viewers

No extra package is bought when the season starts — the sports channels are inside the subscription. Football channels.

Device count and price

A standard subscription is for one screen: the same code will not open on two TVs at once. If two or three screens will run in parallel in the flat, you choose a device tariff.

DevicesPrice per monthWho it suits
1 device13 AZNA single viewer
2 devices18 AZNA family — two screens
3 devices+22 AZNLarge family, office, café

Switching devices one after another — closing on the TV and opening on the phone — is possible on the standard subscription too; the limit applies only to how many screens are open at the same time. Prices by term are on the prices page.

Three things worth having ready before setup

When a remote setup takes half an hour instead of five minutes, it is usually for the same three reasons. Have these to hand before you write to us and the process never stalls.

  • The exact TV model. The brand name is not enough, because the same brand uses different operating systems and app stores in models from different years. The model number is on the label on the back of the TV, or in the «about» section of the settings.
  • The Wi-Fi password. If the TV or box is not yet connected to the internet, that is the first step. If the password is still the one printed on the router's label, check it in advance.
  • The remote and a few free minutes. Entering the code means typing it letter by letter with the remote. If you use a remote-control app on your phone, this stage gets much shorter.
Set up the second TV on day one

If two screens will be running in the flat, it is easier to set both up on the same day: the tariff choice and the app settings are then settled in one go. Moving to a second room later needs no new code and carries no setup charge.

What happens when something goes wrong

With traditional solutions a problem is usually dealt with like this: you ring, you join a queue, an engineer comes. With IPTV most faults sit in one of two places — your home network or the server. We separate the first out remotely with a few questions, and the second is resolved on our side.

Support runs on WhatsApp 24/7, so a message you send in the middle of the night does not wait until morning. If the service does go down, our conditions are written out plainly on the guarantee page.

Frequently asked questions

Does an engineer come to set it up in Baku?

No, and there is no need. The whole process is done remotely over WhatsApp and usually takes 5–10 minutes.

That saves time and removes any need for someone to stay home. If anything is difficult, sending a screenshot is enough.

Which districts do you serve?

It works in every district of Baku, and in the settlements and villages as well, because the service is not tied to a physical line. The only condition is a working internet connection at the address.

We have no office address and no district branches — the service is entirely online.

I rent my flat. What happens to my subscription if I move?

The subscription is tied to you, not to the address. As soon as you have internet in the new flat you log in again with the same code — no new contract, no new setup charge, no waiting.

If the device changes, installing the app once on the new device is enough.

There is no cable TV line in our building. Will IPTV work?

Yes. IPTV does not use the operator's line inside the building; it uses your internet connection. The age of the block, the floor and its technical state make no difference to the result.

All that matters is speed: 8–10 Mbps for HD, 12–15 Mbps for Full HD.

I use mobile internet (an LTE modem) at home. Is that suitable?

It works when the speed is sufficient, but because a mobile network is variable at peak hours, the chance of freezing in the evening is higher than on a fibre connection.

On a capped package, watching television for long stretches also eats into the allowance. These are exactly the cases where the 24-hour trial decides for you.

Can I pay in cash?

There is a cash option; we settle the details on WhatsApp. Besides that we accept Visa and Mastercard (3D Secure), m10, E-pul and PayPal.

All the methods are listed on the payment page.

If the internet or the power goes out, do I lose subscription days?

No. The subscription runs on the calendar and short outages do not affect it — as soon as the connection is back, the channels open again.

If there is a long outage that originates on our side, we find a solution in line with the guarantee conditions.
